Toys To Tractors - Product Variety At The Royal Highland Show 2007!
From toys that featured on Dragon’s Den to the latest tractors from Italy and everything in between – it’s all on display at the Royal Highland Show!
The show – major sponsor The Royal Bank of Scotland – takes place at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh, on June 21-24.
Although the focus is on agricultural machinery, equipment and services, there’s a huge variety of goods on display. Many companies use the show as a launching pad for new products or, as first-time exhibitors, introduce themselves to an expected audience of more than 150,000 visitors.
A recent economic impact survey showed that a staggering £100 million is generated by the show.
Product launches this year include Trunki, a children’s ride-on suitcase featured on Dragon’s Den, an organic butter from Graham’s Dairies who recently won two Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards, the new Powermax high spec tractor from Landini, Jethro, a GPS guidance system for farmers and an electric bicycle capable of travelling up to 60 miles on a single charge.
Among the new exhibitors are companies specialising in Danish designed wind turbines, log cabin homes, award-winning cheese, pig equipment for smallholders, hand-knotted rugs, telescopic material handlers, garden design, quad bikes and ATVs.
Show Manager David Dunsmuir said: “With more than 1000 trade exhibitors, there is a multitude of product lines on display. Each year there is an ever-widening variety of shopping opportunities and no matter what our visitors are after, they are guaranteed to find it at the Royal Highland.”
