Royal Highland Show 24-27 June 2010The Royal Highalnd Show is held by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, founded in 1784 to promote the regeneration of rural Scotland. Occupying almost a three hundred acre site right next to Edinburgh Airport on the western fringe of Scotland's Capital City, the event is an annual 'must' for the major herds, flocks and studs across the UK as well as being firmly in the calendar of a huge variety of businesses which take trade stands to promote and sell their products.
The 170th Royal Highland Show in 2010 attracted 187,600 visitors over 4 days making it an all time record for the event and ensuring it continues to be one of the UK’s top agricultural shows and Scotland's leading international agricultural event.
The 2011 Royal Highland Show will be held from 23rd to 26th June and Any-Day single admit tickets will be available for purchase in mid-November either online or by telephoning 0131 335 6236. Show tickets will make wonderful Christmas presents and come packaged in attractive ticket wallets. SHOWGROUND ACCESSIBILITY: The showground is wheelchair friendly. Electric Mobility Scooters and Manaul Wheelchairs will be available for hire to Show visitors at both the East and West Gates adjacent to the Disabled Car Parks - booking required. Contact the operators - EVENT MOBILITY or phone 01386 725391 (manned part-time office hours only). Bookings are welcome well in advance of the Show - no need to wait until June.
