Glasgow Vet SchoolThe University of Glasgow’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is one of the world’s leading veterinary schools. The Faculty provides state-of-the-art clinical care, international leadership in research into the causes of disease and top-rated teaching and training for the next generation of veterinary practitioners and scientists. It is one of a handful of Schools in Europe to hold accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association, enjoying an excellent reputation internationally.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow is currently in the process of a planned series of upgrades of its food animal facilities.
The vision: The Centre will provide flexible, state-of-the-art facilities, embracing the food chain through production and harvest. Its purpose is for clinical teaching and learning and also attracting high quality staff and students with an interest in this area of veterinary medicine. It will be functional and innovative, providing biosecure, high-class animal accommodation as well as safe handling and convenient training and treatment facilities.
As part of its charitable aims and educational remit, the RHASS has awarded £30,000 towards the cost of a replacement large animal facility.
